“I Will Never Regret the First Time I Met You” continues the theme of the previous song essentially. It's like an apology to someone you've hurt. I wrote the song near the end of my high school senior year. I remember that in music class we had a music theory lesson and afterwards on the same sheet I started writing a melody that just came to me. Over the next few days I finished the song and I asked my teacher if it would be possible for us to actually play it in orchestra (my ultimate goal for this music) but there wasn't enough time for us to learn it. The song was originally entitled “Nostalgic Memories (and the Storm Clouds That Followed)” but had the project title “Rosa Mystica” because it was partially inspired by choral church music.
The trilogy (I didn't really want to call it by parts since I think it's kinda lame but part 1 and 2 go well together, IWNRTFTIMY is like an epilogue to the two) basically has the outline of 1. something awful happened! 2. It was just a dream 3. I am grateful for what I have in life.
